The Heritage Council is delighted to announce the National Heritage Award winners, showcasing the best of National Heritage Week and recognising the fantastic work of all the heritage enthusiasts who take part.  

Heritage Week 2018 - Sharing Stories

From 18-26 August 2018, hundreds of event organisers in national institutions and local community organisations will organise Heritage Week events throughout the country.  

European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018

2018 will be the European Year of Cultural Heritage, a year of events, activities and celebrations all around Europe to get people interested and involved in cultural heritage.

Ireland's Heritage Hero

The Heritage Council has awarded the Ireland's Heritage Hero Award 2016 to Matt Farrell from Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford.
