Connecting With Our Heritage Through Historic Graveyards and Community Story Telling

As part of heritage week, IRD Duhallow will be presenting a selection of wonderful heritage stories recorded by volunteers in local historic graveyards and additional sites, with support from the 2014 -2020 LEADER Programme. Throughout this training programme, community volunteers learned the skills of researching and recording community heritage stories, helping to preserve local information which may be lost with the passing of time. Under the theme of connecting with our heritage, the stories recorded showcase the abundance of local history which lies in the Duhallow region. The videos will be posted throughout Heritage Week, with information and links to be made available on IRD Duhallow's Website and Facebook pages.
