Event Registration extended to 7 June

Heritage Week Sharing Discoveries Swords Castle Dublin

Due to high levels of interest in Heritage Week 2019, the deadline for events to be included in the printed event guide has been extended to Friday, 7th June.

The printed event guide is distributed across Ireland to OPW sites, museums, libraries, local authorities, selected hotels and tourist offices. Your event will also be included in a county event guide where available. Event registration for the website listings will remain open until August. Heritage Week 2019 will take place from 17th - 25th August.

This year's theme is Pastimes | Past Times and during the week, we are encouraging you to take a stroll through history and explore how our free time has evolved in often fascinating ways. Heritage Week will shine a light on the great work that is carried out in communities to preserve and promote our natural, built and cultural heritage.

Please note that due to changes in the management of National Heritage Week, there has been a delay in posting Heritage Week events on our website (www.heritageweek.ie). We are working through all events submitted for registration, and all events registered before the extended closing date of Friday, 7th June will be included in the printed Heritage Week event guide. Registration for our website listings will remain open until August. We appreciate all interest in Heritage Week and apologise for any delays.
