House Tour of Altidore Castle

In association with Historic Houses of Ireland, Altidore Castle is open again for house tours this Heritage Week.

Altidore was built in the 1730s and has had a storied history before becoming the family of home of the Emmet family, descendants of Robert and Thomas Addis Emmet. This is a guided tour with members of the Emmet family around several rooms on the ground floor of the lived in house. It consists of various artefacts from both sides of the family and things that belonged to previous owners concluding in the Emmet gallery where there is a dedicated collection.

Tours are €10 per person with a charge of five euros for concessions.
