Mayo County Library Service are delighted to announce a free genealogy event on Friday the 21st of August at Castlebar Library as part of Heritage Week 2026.
In partnership with the North Mayo Heritage Centre and the South Mayo Family Research Centre, the library will host free genealogy consultations between 10am and 3.30pm on Friday the 21st of August.
Ger Delaney and Brendan Walsh, family history researchers at the two Co. Mayo centres, will be in attendance to help you on a one-to-one basis to get started with your family history research, or to assist with any questions you may have about your own research.
The North Mayo Heritage Centre and the South Mayo Family Research Centre are the two Irish Family History Foundation accredited research centres in Co. Mayo. Together they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to this free Heritage Week event.
Booking is essential for this free event, and spaces are strictly limited. Booking opens on the 5th of August.
