Athlone Library are running an exciting creative writing competition for Heritage Week. We are inviting children to write diary entries imagining how the 1691 Siege of Athlone would unfold if it happened today, in 2026. The 10 winning entries will be on display in the librry for Heritage Week. Entry forms are available from the branch and are due back by July 18th.
