Accessible Virtual Tours of Wexford Heritage Sites

This project aims to provide access through a digital virtual tour experience to a range of heritage sites in County Wexford. Access to these locations will be enhanced through digital form, which will assist all potential users navigate in advance of a visit to the sites.

In particular, physical access to heritage sites, which by their very nature, can prove difficult or impracticable for some. Therefore, having the latest digital access by means of an interactive virtual tour for each of the sites provides an alternative means of experiencing what one would experience physically on site. In that regard, the development of an accessible interactive virtual tour for each selected location will provide persons with a disability the opportunity to view each location online and experience navigation prior to any physical visit.

The project is being carried out by Skypix Aerial Works Ltd on behalf of Wexford County Council and it has be grant funded by the Heritage Council (CP5928). Draft examples of the virtual tours can be seen below (final versions of these tours will be available in September).
