With National Heritage Week nearly here, we have compiled a list that is brimming with exciting events for your kids! There is still time to register for both online (27th of August) and physical (23rd of August) events! Here are five events for children you won't want to miss:

1. Children’s Tour of Kilmainham Gaol

A guided tour of Kilmainham Gaol for our younger visitors. This is a great opportunity to explore the architecture of the prison, hear stories of crimes committed by children and learn about some of the gaol’s most famous prisoners.

4. Wild child day on board RV Celtic Mist

Children will have the opportunity to delve into marine biology, discover the vital role of cetaceans in Irish waters, and see firsthand how research on board contributes to a broader network of environmental stewardship. By highlighting Celtic Mist’s research trips and the crucial data we collect, we aim to inspire the next generation of marine biologists and environmental scientists.
