Glenmalure PURE Mile is delighted to introduce this new event for National Heritage Week 2026. Join us for a 10 km guided walk lad by experienced West Wicklow sheep farmers, following a traditional sheep droving route across the Wicklow mountains.

This walk commemorates the journeys once made by local sheep farmers as they drove their flocks from west to east , from Knocknadruce to Glenmalure.

We will explore the historic paths once used by generations of farmers and celebrate a unique part of Wicklow's farming heritage.

Please read the full event description carefully, as it contains important information about the walk, transport and meeting points.

The walk will commence at 11am from Knocknadruce. Parking is available at the starting point. For those travelling from Glenmalure, bus transport is available from Baravore car park, Glenmalure. The bus departs at 10am and the fare 10€ per person.
