JJ Clarke’s Photographic Adventures at the Dawn of Modern Ireland c 1900-1910
Castleblayney Library are delighted to announce the launch of an exhibition celebrating the photography of JJ Clarke. This will open on Monday 18th August at 7pm as part of Heritage Week with an introduction by Darren McCreesh, creative producer and manager of the Patrick Kavanagh Centre.
Pioneering photographer and Castleblayney native, John Joseph Clarke, was a man of many talents and curiosities. Beloved doctor, renowned conversationalist, car enthusiast, antiquarian, worldly traveller, aesthete. His was truly a life less ordinary. Join us in Castleblayney Library for a special celebration of JJ’s life and work.
