Walking Tour: Field notes on human rights activism from Bray

This walking tour will introduce stories of resistance, struggle and sites of interest across Bray connecting to the Anti-Apartheid movement in the 1980s, campaigns for justice with a delegation of Aboriginal activists on their way to London in the late 1990s and recent stories from recent struggles such as climate action and solidarity activism.

From a human rights education and community organisation based in Bray for over 20 years, this walking tour will view events in the world and from Ireland from a local lens.

This tour will also invite contributions from participants to share stories they might wish to as part of building a unique experience on the day.

With 7 stops this walking tour will roughly take 90 minutes and finish on the Bray Seafront.

This tour will be led by Tony Daly from 80:20 Educating and Acting for a Better World who grew up, worked and lived in Bray for many years.

Using public paths, crossing roads and using public spaces, participants are welcome to join in this active walking tour.
