
Visit St Seachnalls' Church in Dunsahaughlin
Step into a site with over 1,500 years of Christian history at St Seachnall's Church, Dunshaughlin. Standing on an elevated site that has been a place of worship since the 5th century, the present church dates from the early 19th century and contains artefacts reflecting the site's remarkable heritage.
Visitors can also view the surviving arch of the medieval church that once stood here and explore the churchyard, traditionally believed to be the burial place of St Seachnall, a contemporary of St Patrick, who founded this sacred site in the 5th century.
During Heritage Week, the church will be open to visitors, offering an opportunity to discover the rich history of this ancient place and to enjoy its unique atmosphere of peace and serenity in the heart of the bustling village of Dunshaughlin.
