An opportunity to visit Coolock Church of Ireland Parish and its church built in 1760 on an early Christian site associated with St Brendan Navigator. There will be tours of the graveyard and church to view its contents (9th century horizontal millstone & granite cross, stained glass windows by An Tur Gloine, Purser, Childes, Bourne-Jones & Morris, and Meyers of Munich). The memorials and gravestones have associations with Arthur Guinness, Zacariah Wallace (editor of the Anglo-Celt), J. C. Colvill (Bank of Ireland), Henry Hutton (Coach Builder) and Matthew O'Callaghan (with Catherine McAuley). As part of the exhibition, we will have on show some photos from the archaeological dig, the drone photogrammetry survey and the follow-up geo-physics survey to see what further information can be learnt from this important site. At the end of the Church Tour, there will be an opportunity to see how the 1909 Conacher Organ works, as we take a look at its workings and marvel at the control of air to make the sounds.

Coolock Church of Ireland Parish is grouped with Raheny Parish, with its magnificent All Saints' Church, built by Arthur Guinness, Lord Ardilaun on the corner of his St Anne's Estate.
