Tour of Harbour Building

This is an open day for people to come and see the fully restored building now repurposed as office accommodations.

It was built between 1832-35 as part of the grand canal link to Kilbeggan.

This building took 15 years to restore and is part of a larger project linking a cycle track to the main line of grand canal to the south. A further link to the Dublin-Galway greenway is approved and in progress. It is expected to be completed in 3 years. This building was an old goods warehouse for inward and outward goods and a very busy location in its time.
