Teresa Wemyss is a Thomastown native who taught languages in Gorey Community school for many years. Now retired, she has been researching her family history, and also delved into the history of Thomastown Workhouse, focusing especially on the women incarcerated there.
With the publication of the 1926 census, Teresa takes a closer look at the Workhouse in the 1920s.
