Historical and archival exhibition exploring the life and times of Daniel MacCarthy Glas (1807-1884), the Tanist of Carbery, and the return of his long lost personal archive to Cork. MacCarthy, a descendant of the MacCarthy Glas' near Dunmanway in Carbery, wrote a biography of his ancestor, Florence MacCarthy Reagh, and was one of the pioneers of the study of Irish and MacCarthy Genealogy, and Irish History from an Irish perspective.

The archive and exhibition feature original and unique manuscripts that were saved and donated to the Cork City and County Archives Service by Susan and Don MacCarthy and families.

One of the unique items in the archive and exhibition is an original 1700s Pedigree of Donaill MacCárthaigh an Dúna prepared by Gaelic scholar, 'The Last Bard of Munster', Séan Ó Coileáin of Myross.
