The History of Old Killaghtee Church

Come on down to the Old Killaghtee Church on St John's Point, to find out more about it's rich history and the conservation work going on now.

Come down to the Old Killaghtee Church, newly renovated by DCL and Donegal County Council, to learn more about the history of the church, area and Killaghtee Cross. We will also have music from Kevin O'Donnell's School of Music.

Find out how we are now renovating the gates through the Donegal County Council Community Monument Fund.

Are you a budding painter. We have a Plein Air event from 2pm at the church. Plein Air is your opportunity to come along and paint or draw this amazing site. Amateurs welcome, bring your own materials.

We recommend parking at McSwyne's castle carpark and taking the 15min stroll to the church itself. Ground at the church is very uneven, so take care on the roads and at the site.
