For National Heritage Week, Archaeologist Jack Connolly will examine the Early Legal Systems of Ireland, how they evolved, and how they were eventually replaced. Starting with the earliest Brehon Law, all the way until the eventual adoption of Common Law, we will see how the Law of the Land was influenced by the laws of the wider world, and how it adapted to a rapidly changing cultural landscape on the island of Ireland.
