Talk on Rathdown Castle and Village

A talk on Rathdown Castle, village and St Crispin's Cell will take place at Greystones Library on the 19th of August at 7pm. Rathdown Castle was located north of Greystones Harbour and was the main castle for the barony of Rathdown. Today half the barony is in north Wicklow and the other half Barony is in south County Dublin. The talk will be given by archaeologist David McIlreavy and will include the results of the archeological which took place at Crispin's cell in 2018, which produced some interesting finds. All welcome to come along and discover the history of the areas interesting medieval settlement.
