Conservation of the Railings at Liss Cemetery

Boher-Liss Cemetery Group are hosting a talk on the conservation of the railings at Liss Cemetery (R35 Y306) located just outside Ballycumber. Conservation of the railings are being supported by the Heritage Council 2025. Conservation architect, Richard McLoughlin and blacksmith, Brendan St. John will describe the challenges involved in repairs completed on the western side in 2024, and in ongoing repairs to the eastern side. As the talk will be taking place outside, please bring your umbrella. As there is limited parking at the cemetery, parking will be provided across the road. Please allow time to walk back to the cemetery. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
