“Stories from a Safe Harbour” Oral History of Camden Fort Meagher
Listening Event
Come hear first-hand stories of life in Camden Fort Meagher from the work-in-progress oral history project.
A chance to hear, learn and contribute to history in the making. The oral history project aims to record, preserve and share the history of the fort through the spoken testimony of those who lived, worked, trained and passed through the fort.
If you have stories, memories or first-hand experiences of the fort, we would be delighted to hear from you in person on the day.
In addition, if you have any photographs or memorabilia from the fort, please feel free to bring them along to the event.
Presented by Oral Historians James Furey and Kieran Murphy
To attend the event, visitors must have paid admission into the Fort. We recommend allowing between 1 - 2 hours to explore the Fort itself.
It is €8 for adults, €5 for concessions and there are family tickets available.
