Observe a Stone Carving Workshop in Action - Mindful Making in the Wicklow Mountains

As part of Heritage Week, we’re opening the doors of our stone carving workshop in Ballyknockan on Sunday, 23 August, from 11am–3pm, inviting visitors to come and experience the craft in action. Our regular bi-monthly workshops are two-day, hands-on courses for participants who have paid to take part, but for this special afternoon, we’re welcoming the public to drop in, watch our skilled masons as they teach, see the tools and work involved, explore what our workshops have to offer, and learn more about the rich tradition of stone carving in Ireland. Come along, meet the masons, ask questions, and get a glimpse into this unique Irish craft - tea & coffee will be available so take a cup and stay a while.
