Sligo Orpheus Choir present ‘A Celebration of Irish Folk Song’ in Sligo Abbey for National Heritage Week. Join Sligo Orpheus Choir for an informal afternoon of traditional Irish folk song in the historic and beautiful setting of Sligo Abbey.
This relaxed performance celebrates the rich heritage of Irish folk song and the oral traditions that have helped preserve our stories, history and culture through generations. The choir will perform a selection of traditional songs and choral arrangements before inviting everyone present to join in singing some well-known favourites, continuing the living tradition of community singing and shared music making.

Whether you come to sing a folk song or simply to listen, all are very welcome.
