Royal Canal walk

The walks starts at Binns Bridge Dorset Street, Drumcondra and finishes at the "old City Basin Broadstone". this is an easy walk along the Canals new Greenway, it is suitable for all, both young and old. Peter Clarke will lead the walk and along the route he will explore both Canal and Local History. The walk is at an easy pace and will take about an hour and a half.
Lots to see and do, how long is the Canal , how does a lock work, where does the water for the Canal come from. On local history do you know where the railings for Trinity Collage were made, can you name a Irish mathematician who has a crater on the Moon named after him or do you know who the" King's Cowman" was.
