Rosscarbery Green QR-coded Walk - a route connecting the town’s built, natural and community heritage. The walk takes you through streets, lanes, parks and historic landscapes, with 11 points of interest revealing different layers of Rosscarbery’s story. Highlights include the sites of the old Market House and Hodnetts Dance Hall, the Famine Road, Rosscarbery Creamery, Andy’s Well, Forge Park, the Quay Garden, St Cummin’s Well and the WW1 Memorial Panel.
More than a journey through the past, the Green Walk celebrates the community’s ongoing care for Rosscarbery’s heritage, environment and biodiversity, showing how these elements are interconnected.
Explore the Green Walk at your own pace during Heritage Week and discover Rosscarbery from a different perspective.
The Green Walk has been developed by Rosscarbery Tidy Towns (RTTA) in partnership with the Rosscarbery & District History & Heritage Society, combining environmental stewardship with the preservation and interpretation of the town’s heritage for future generations.
