Reliving the Past at Jig's Forge
Revisit the past at Jig's Forge where we will take a step back in time to showcase some of the lost trades and crafts, which were a big part of our Heritage long ago.
The Anvil will ring for the first time in sixty years where a Blacksmith will display his crafts and a farrier will shoe a horse.
Other old traditions will be carried out on the day including Butter-Making, Súgán-Making and Basket Weaving.
On this day, there will be a showing of Horse-drawn Machinery and a display of old farm tools from the Creamery, the Bog and Garden era.
Crossroads Dancing was held at Jig's Forge over a century ago and on the day this tradition will be relived again with music, wrenboys and storytelling.
A great afternoon is guaranteed to this free event.
