Rathcore Heritage Festival

The ‘Rathcore Heritage Festival’ is on Sunday 23 August from 1pm to 4pm and will be a show case of rural heritage, food and crafts.

There will be education stations on bees, stained glass windows, willow basket making, and more.

Display of vintage agricultural tools, pre-1950’s tractors and cars, the newly discovered basement in the church and ringing of the restored church bell.

Food & Craft Stalls of Honey, Eggs, Jams / Chutneys and Wood Carving.

A display of the Downton Abbey original Wedding Dress of Mrs. Hughes when she married Mr. Carson.

Games for kids- skittles and horse shoeing throwing.

The Trim Brass Band is a community-focused musical group based in Trim, County Meath. It will provide music throughout the event

Downton Abbey
With more than 120 million viewers around the world, Downton Abbey was a popular TV Series. We are delighted to say we have a treat in store for all those Downton Abbey fans. We will have on display the original Wedding Coat, Dress, Gloves, Shoes and Hat of Mrs. Hughes when she married Mr. Carson.

Scurlogstown Olympiad are kindly displaying one of the thatched cottages.

Coffee & Cake
Coffee & cake will be available all day at the event.

St Ultan’s Church, Rathcore was bought in 2026 by a non-profit entity- Friends of Rathcore Church CLG. Currently the church is being restored for its future use as a heritage, community and events space. Contact: 086-8129260
