Poetry Journey (workshop) with One City One Book author Rosamund Taylor
Celebrating creativity and connections to our cultural heritage, in this workshop, we’ll journey towards making unique poems, using scissors, glue, found materials and collage, to unlock unexpected images and find a freer form of writing. Looking at poets as diverse as Liz Berry, Selima Hill, and Theodore Roethke, we’ll think about how the juxtaposition of images can lead to unexpected insights and give our minds time to take us on meandering journeys. We’ll consider how imagery can shift our perspectives, be free to make connections that feel intuitive to us and think about how disrupting the narrative can lead to more vivid writing. This workshop is open to all levels – beginners and more advanced. Spaces are limited and booking is essential.
