People Recall: Working in Tipperary Town Industries

Tipperary Excel Heritage Centre will host two events this heritage week August 15th-23rd 2026.

An exhibition of Photographs from the ‘Tipperary industries memory project’ will be showcased in the foyer of Tipperary Excel foyer.

Dr. Denis G. Marnane will present a ‘virtual’ tour of the buildings and people associated with them in Tipperary town.
This promises to be a very interesting event and will take place in cinema two in the Excel Centre on Thursday evening at 7.30pm.
Admission is free and all are welcome.

The memories of a variety of people who worked in Industries in Tipperary Town has been recorded in conjunction with tippmidwest radio by Mary Alice O’Connor and Jim keane. The resulting documentary will air on TippMidwest radio every morning during heritage week at 11:05 am. This is a most interesting and entertaining documentary and many thanks to all who came forward and recorded their memories.
