Kiltullagh Killimordaly Heritage Society challenges you to try Pétanque, a French game of boules, similar to bowls but played on a gravel or sand surface, as part of our D'Arcy 300 weekend of events. Pétanque is all about having fun, not being an expert. No experience is needed – the game relies on light strategy and skill rather than strength or fitness.
Open to everyone over 18 – male or female. TEAMS OF TWO - friends, clubs, groups, or businesses.
QUALIFYING ROUNDS: SATURDAY, 23RD AUGUST | from 3pm
FINALS: SUNDAY, 24TH AUGUST | from 2pm
Mary Ward's Car Park (H65 CD79), Kiltullagh, Athenry
We will provide all the equipment, and Tom Donnellan, Irish Pétanque Association Regional Development Officer for the West, will give a quick demonstration of the rules before we begin on Saturday.
Entry is free, but booking is essential (see Booking Link below).
