Otter Identification on the Inagh River in Inagh Village

"Otter Identification on the Inagh River in Inagh Village" is a free, family event, co-hosted by the Inagh Village Tidy Towns Committee and the Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO).

This event is suitable for children and adults of all ages, where participants will learn of the wonderful world of otters and their amazing life, through a guided discovery of their river habitat, and signs of their activity, including otter poo.

The event will involve a voyage of discovery along the Inagh River which runs through Inagh village, encouraging participants to become real world nature detectives. Led by Ruairí Ó Conchúir (Regional Project Lead with LAWPRO), the event will highlight the importance of local biodiversity and the unique characteristics of the otter, a protected species, and the importance of good water quality and adequate food to ensure their survival.
