Bee-keeper and active environmentalist, Tony Conaghy, shares insight into this project: the aim of this study is to explore and record the biodiversity along a section of the river Boyne.
The Boyne Greenway (The Ramparts) on the south side and Mell/ Tubberbioice area on the north. A distance of 2.5Km from the Mary McAleese bridge west of Drogheda to the Bridge Of Peace near the town centre.
The study concentrates on four different habitats, Tidal River, Woodlands, Grassland and Marshlands. The time frame of this study was from Jan to August 2025.
This illustrated talk is presented to coincide with Heritage Week 2025, and expresses Highlanes Gallery's commitment to raising awareness as part of the gallery's Climate Policy and Action Plan, connecting audiences to ambitious projects inside and outside the gallery that are critical to the area and the region.
