As part of National Heritage Week, children aged 6 to 11 years are invited to explore the fascinating world of Ogham, Ireland’s earliest form of writing. During this fun and interactive 1.5-hour workshop, participants will learn about the origins of the Ogham alphabet, where it came from, and how it was used in early Ireland.
Using fast-drying clay, children will create their own Ogham piece and “carve” their name using the ancient symbols. Combining creativity, history, and hands-on learning, this free workshop is a wonderful way for young explorers to connect with Ireland’s rich heritage and take home a unique keepsake.
This is a free workshop, but booking is essential.
