Oak Gall Ink Workshop
Facilitated by Sonia Caldwell
Come and see how ink might have been made before people had pre-made pens to write with. It is made using the oak gall left behind by the oak gall wasp when it ‘cocoons’ itself in the rich tannin materials made by the oak tree to assist its life cycle. We will go through the process and each person will get a chance to use this ink and also bring home a small bottle of it.
