Nature and Water above Gartan

Gartan lake has a rich and diverse tapestry of habitats, all of which influence the water quality of the lake and the Lennon river catchment. Join NatureNorthWest and LAWPRO staff for a walk and talk, exploring some of the surrounding habitats, looking at both plant and invertebrate (bugs) life and see how they help to store water, clean water and support some wonderful nature. We will cover approximately 5km during this event. Walking shoes and raingear advised, suitable for 8 years and upwards. No dogs please. Parking and meeting by kind permission at Glebe house and gallery carpark where we will depart from and return to. This event is funded by the Local Waters Authority Programme and is part of Heritage week 2025.
