Mummers Performance and Workshops

Members of the Fingal Mummers are delighted to again give a performance of the traditional Fingal Mummers play during Heritage week. Attired in woven straw hats, flamboyant costumes ribbons and masks they perform a short play in rhyme accompanied by music and song. They will also give a Workshop & demonstration of straw hat/straw costume making associated with mummers, Wren Boys and Straw Boys.

All necessary materials will will be provided including oaten straw, twine and ribbons.

Workshop 1pm - 3pm
Performance 3.20pm - 4pm

Attendees are welcome to participate in the workshop or just observe.

The performance is suitable for all. The straw workshop is suitable for ages 10 +
