Mullan Factory Tours
Join us for Mullan Factory Tours during Heritage Week on Thursday, 20 August, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, and discover the story of our factory within the historic Old Mullan Flax Mill.
Explore the rich industrial heritage of Mullan, whose name derives from the Irish word Muileann, meaning “mill”. Learn how the village evolved from flax milling and boot manufacturing into a thriving centre for lighting design and production.
The tour will also celebrate the return of the original mill engine to Mullan. Discover how this important piece of local history is being restored and preserved before returning to its original location within the factory.
You will also enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at our modern manufacturing facility and see how Mullan Lighting products are created, from initial design through to production and dispatch.
This event is supported by Monaghan County Council Heritage Section and The Heritage Council.
This event is not wheelchair accessible due to the historic nature and layout of the building
