Mountrothe House Tour

Mountrothe House has been part of the Paulstown landscape since 1765. Join us for a guided tour to learn about its history, the Rothe, Murphy and McKenna families who lived here, and the stories that have shaped this historic home over the past 260 years.

During the tour, you’ll visit the main rooms of the house and hear about its Georgian architecture, how the house has changed over the centuries, and what life would have been like for the families who lived and worked here and the recent renovations to the house.

The tour also includes a visit to the Long Barn, an original Georgian farm building beside the house. You’ll learn about its role as part of the working estate and how buildings like this were an important part of country house life in the 18th and 19th centuries.
