As part of Heritage Week, join us at Christ Church, Fermoy, for an engaging evening exploring the fascinating lives and habitats of bats.
Ecologist and bat enthusiast Claire Kelly will share her extensive knowledge of the bats found at Christ Church and the surrounding area.
The talk will be followed by a guided walk through the church grounds, where, using bat detectors, we will discover and learn about the bats that call Christ Church home.
This event is perfect for nature enthusiasts and anyone curious about the nocturnal world of bats. Claire will offer fascinating insights into the behaviour, ecology and importance of these remarkable creatures.
Open to everyone, this is a family-friendly event. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Depending on the number of children attending, Claire may include a few interactive activities for our younger visitors.
If you own a bat detector, be sure to bring it along!
