Making Medieval Ring Brooches! - Hands-on History Children’s Workshop
Join Scéal Heritage to get hands-on with the medieval past and create a medieval ring brooch, a common piece of jewellery worn by men, women, and children in the Middle Ages. Children are introduced to styles in jewellery and fashion in medieval times, and are guided to make their own gold or silver ring brooch, which they can personalise with colourful gemstones and metallic messages.
The workshop lasts approximately 40 minutes in length, and is suitable for children aged 7 to 14. Places are limited, so advance booking through the library is essential.
