Lughnasadh Celebration

Join us at Spás Studio, Bearna Golf Club, on Saturday 15 August for a contemporary celebration of Lughnasadh, one of the four great seasonal festivals of the old Irish calendar.

Following our gatherings for Imbolc and Bealtaine, we continue our journey through the Celtic Wheel, exploring how these ancient seasonal traditions can still connect us to landscape, language, music and community today.

Lughnasadh traditionally marked the beginning of the harvest season — a time of gathering, gratitude, creativity and celebration. From our setting high above Bearna, overlooking Galway Bay, the Aran Islands and the hills of Clare, we will celebrate that heritage through a contemporary evening of movement, music and connection.

The evening will be guided by Eva Du of Rise a Wild, Marian Ní Chonghaile of Thrive with Marian, and DJ Lia.

The programme will include guided breathwork with Gaeilge woven into the session, somatic movement and grounding practices, ecstatic dance, trad-fusion music from DJ Lia, touches of ceol Gaelach and Sean-nós movement, followed by an outdoor fire-pit gathering.

Herbal teas and seasonal treats will also be available, with an optional sauna for those who wish to take part.
