Bray has been home to many famous families and individuals with literary and artistic connections over the years - Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, Paul Henry and Sheridan La Fanu are among the most well known. More recently, Neil Jordan, Sinead O'Connor, Anne Enright and others have called Bray home. As you can see from the title of the walking tour, not all of celebrities in the making had exclusively positive things to say about their fellow Bray inhabitants!
This guided walk around the seafront area will dip into the Bray connections of these famous people, as well as touching on some of the less well known literary and artistic Bray connections, plus a bit of local history thrown in for good measure.
The walk will commence outside The Boat House Coffee Dock at the southern end of the promenade and will finish (hopefully!) at Martello Terrace at the northern end.
If you are interested please send me an email at joeroebray@gmail.com, so we can keep an eye on numbers.
This walk is being supported by Bray Tidy Towns, who do much good work around Bray.
