Life Writing workshop with David McLoghlin

Beginning Heritage week a series of four creative writing workshops explores Heritage in terms of memory and personal and local history and gives participants the space to practice learnings during in-class writing exercises as well as share their work. David McLoghlin is a highly experienced facilitator of creative writing, particularly life writing (memoir), personal essay and poetry. His third collection of poetry (Crash Centre, Salmon Poetry, 2024) was shortlisted for the 2025 Pigott Prize via Listowel Writers Week. He received an Arts Council Literature Bursary in 2025 to support him in writing his grandfather, Eddie Hackett, “the father of Irish golf design." An extract is forthcoming in Golfers Journal in the USA later this year. Places are limited and booking is required for the entire series (15 August, 29 August, 19 September and 17 October).
