Launch of Quin Friary Visitor App

Quin Heritage is delighted to announce the formal launch of the Quin Friary Visitor App, a new way to explore the rich history of the Friary for visitors of all ages. The app will be launched by Minister of State Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran, with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, at 2pm on Sunday, August 16th, in the Tearmann gardens on Main Street, beside the grotto.

Designed for smart phone users, the Quin Friary Visitor App can be downloaded easily via a QR code available at the Friary entrance. Once connected, visitors will enjoy an engaging introduction to the Friary’s heritage, supported by clear audio and captivating visuals. The experience continues with a guided tour of the building, helping visitors uncover key features and stories as they move through the spaces.

The launch event celebrates both local heritage and modern technology working together to create a welcoming, informative experience. With audio guidance and graphics enhancing each stage of the visit, the app offers an accessible and memorable way to learn on-site.
