As part of National Heritage Week, visitors are invited to explore the Kylemore Abbey Heritage Trail, an interactive self-guided experience across the historic estate.
Follow the trail and discover the conservation, restoration and maintenance projects that help preserve Kylemore Abbey’s unique heritage for future generations. Along the route, visitors will learn about the work involved in caring for the Castle, Victorian Walled Garden, historic buildings, woodlands and wider estate.
At designated points along the trail, visitors can scan QR codes to access videos featuring members of the Kylemore team. These videos will provide behind-the-scenes insights into heritage conservation and share the stories of the people whose work helps safeguard the estate's built, cultural and natural heritage.
Participants can collect stickers along the way and complete the trail at their own pace. Suitable for all ages, the trail offers an engaging opportunity to learn more about the history of Kylemore Abbey and the ongoing efforts to protect and preserve this special place.
