Join Knock Dancing at the Crossroads committee for what promises to be another fun filled day with events that will showcase the best of our cultural heritage! Five roads lead into Knock village making it an ideal location for dancing at the crossroads. From music to dancing, stalls and sheaf throwing, there really is something for everyone on the day. The sheaf throwing competition was a hugely popular event last year with competitors travelling from all over Ireland including Mayo and Donegal! Having been nearly 30 years since a sheaf was thrown in Knock Village; the inaugural John Russell Sheaf Throwing competition caused great excitement. This year we have added a waltzing and jiving competition for all those who would like to take to the floor for great prizes!
Registration for all competitions will take place on the day. We will also hold our annual soccer blitz which keeps the youngsters entertained. There will be a number of age categories and all participants will receive a medal and goody bag. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on all our events. Bígí linn!
