Irish Native Rare Breed Livestock Show

Brought to you in partnership with the Irish Native Rare Breed Society and National Heritage Week, Longford / Westmeath Farmers Mart brings you an Irish Native Breed Livestock Show. The event will showcase the work of breed societies and other organisations in devising and maintaining conservation strategies and educate the public about the historic, heritage and genetic significance of the breeds, raising awareness of the place of these breeds in agricultural practices historically as well as currently.

There will be entertainment and fun for all the family, with the Irish Native Rare Breeds of cattle on show, Live Music with Brid Shaughnessy, Native Irish Meat Cooking Demo, Craft Stalls, Local Traditional Crafts, Vintage Show, Food Stalls, Children's Entertainment and much more!
