The Irish Labour History Society are custodians of a unique collection of artefacts and archival materials that have been deposited in our collections over many decades. Come along to our premises in Beggars Bush, Dublin on Wednesday 19th August for an introductory tour of our unique collections.
The heritage of Irish workers and the wider labour movement are at risk of being lost forever without the role of the Society and others in promoting and protecting the records, artefacts and reminiscences of Irish Labour. One of the items on display is an Irish Women Workers Union banner that underwent conservation work with the support of the Heritage Council. The Society, over fifty years in existence, continues to collect and preserve the records of Irish workers. Support under the Heritage Council's 'Heritage Organisations Support Fund 2026' is allowing the Society to develop our collections further and to continue to make them accessible to the wider public.
*Please email secretary@irishlabourhistorysociety.com with your preferred time to visit on Wednesday 19th August as capacity is limited due to the historic nature of the premises.
