Rooted in collective reflection, Idir an Dá Linn is a collaborative project that responds to the legacy of Glenbower Lake. Through community storytelling, performance, and artistic installation, the project honours the lost lake while reimagining our relationship with the woodland that remains.
About the Project
“Idir an Dá Linn” explores the space between absence and presence, loss and renewal, the lost lake and the one yet to be reinstated. Centred on Glenbower Lake, which was dramatically drained in 1988, the project engages local residents across generations in the creation of a community keen, drawing from the Irish tradition of lamentation to process ecological grief and collective memory. The community will be invited to contribute their memories of the lake and current relationship with the wood over the course of the exhibition to form part of a bilingual publication and short film.

Funded by:
Create – the National Development Agency for Collaborative Arts, the Arts Council of Ireland, Cork County Council, Creative Ireland, and Community Foundation Ireland and is a partnership between Glenbower Wood and Lake CLG, Greywood Arts and Nocht Studio.

Bígí linn. All welcome.
