History of the Canal Store in Daingean
The Canal Store at Molesworth Bridge in Daingean has on its timber beams, written in pencil, a unique human history of the canal from 1790 to its closure in the 1970's.
Following photography of the pencil writings this summer, Daingean Development Association are holding a public display of these records. They tell the human local history of the Grand Canal.
